بعد تحول الثورة إلى العمل العسكري، كان السؤال الرئيسي الذي دائماً يشغل الجميع هو: متى إطلاق معركة إسقاط النظام؟ والتي ستكون لا محالة هي معركة دخول العاصمة، وضرب رأس الأفعى هناك. وطبعاً، ومن المنطقي أن تكون محافظة ريف دمشق بتقسيماتها المتعددة (الغوطة الشرقية- الغوطة الغربية- القلمون- الزبداني وما حولها) هي المناطق التي ستتحمل تبعات هذه المعركة، ولكن بسند من المحافظات القريبة، وخاصة الجبهة الجنوبية درعا.
ومع نهاية عام 2012 وصلت قوات الثورة في هذه المناطق إلى رصيد من القوة لو أمكن تجميعه وتوحيده حينها -مع حالة النظام الضعيفة جداً في حينها- لكان بالإمكان إسقاط النظام وإنهاؤه. ولكن واقع الصراعات الداخلية بين الفصائل المقاتلة، وتبنيها لمشاريع بأجندات حزبية، وغياب مشروع وطني جامع، جعل أكبر طموحات هذه الفصائل السيطرة على منطقة معينة، وفرض نفسها هيئات حاكمة ضمنها. وقد استشعر النظام وحلفاؤه الخطر الحقيقي المنبعث من ريف دمشق على وجود النظام في العاصمة، فعمل على تفكيك مصادر قوة هذه المناطق من خلال ما يلي:
أولاً: قطع التواصل الجغرافي بين هذه المناطق، من خلال إحكام سيطرته على الطرق الرئيسية التي تساعده على ذلك. مثل إحكام سيطرته على طريق المطار وإنشاء حزام أمني على طوله، بما يعيق اتصال الغوطة الشرقية مع الغوطة الغربية.
ثانياً: محاصرة المناطق المحررة وتجويع أهلها، مما يجعل موضوع الطعام والشراب واحداَ من أهم أولويات سكان هذه المناطق، ويدفع قسماَ منهم إلى الخروج منها، وبالتالي إفراغ هذه المناطق من مصدر قوة بشري أساسي.
ثالثاً: انتهاج سياسة تدمير شامل لهذه المناطق وجعل هذه المناطق غير قابلة للسكن، مما يدفع قسماً من سكان هذه المناطق للخروج منها.
رابعاً: دسّ أشخاص ومجموعات داخل مناطق المعارضة يكون شغلها الرئيسي بثّ الفتن وإظهار عيوب وأخطاء المؤسسات والفصائل الثورية.
خامساً: عقد هدن مع بعض المناطق وإغداق الخدمات عليها، ما يجعل هذا النموذج جذاباً لباقي مناطق الريف الدمشقي المحاصرة.
سادساً: اعتماد استراتيجية عسكرية قائمة على مبدأ دبيب النمل، للاقتطاع المستمر لمناطق جغرافية ضمن المناطق المحررة، وبالتالي تقليص المساحة الجغرافية للمعارضة في ريف دمشق.
سابعاً: الحسم العسكري للمعارك الرئيسية التي تقطع أي اتصال بين مناطق الريف الدمشقي، وأي عمق مع باقي المحافظات السورية. كحسم معركة القلمون، واقتراب حسم معارك الزبداني وما حولها.
نتيجة لكل ذلك وصلنا إلى حالة أصبحت المناطق المحررة في الريف الدمشقي عبارة عن جزر منعزلة عن بعضها، وأصبحت لقمة سائغة للنظام، وطبعاً النظام عمل على تخصيص أساليب متعددة للتعامل مع هذه الجزر؛ فمثلاً في داريا عمد إلى سياسة الإخضاع والتدمير الشامل، بينما في مناطق أخرى كالهامة وقدسيا فهو يعرف محدودية القوة العسكرية للفصائل الموجودة هناك، لذلك هو يكفيه التهديد لإخضاع هذه المناطق، وطبعاً الاستراتيجية التي اتبعها النظام تأتي متناسقة مع مشاريع دولية ترى أن الحلّ في سورية يقوم أساساً على إنشاء فصل ديموغرافي بين مؤيدي النظام ومعارضيه. لذلك لم نشهد حالة من الاستنكار الدولي الحقيقي لما حدث في داريا مثلاً. وهذه رسالة على ما يبدو عن حالة الرضا الدولي عن سياسة التغير الديموغرافي.
وطبعاً النظام يستهدف من كل ذلك الوصول إلى حالة من تأمين العاصمة، وبالتالي إرسال رسالة للجميع بأنه أصبح منيعاً في العاصمة السياسية، وبالتالي أي طرح حول إسقاط النظام أصبح بعيد المنال. وقد استشعر النظام حلاوة مذاق الانتصارات التي يحققها من خلال إنهاء هذه الجزر المنعزلة، وخاصة موضوع إنهاء داريا. وعليه فإن النظام مقدم لامحالة نحو العمل على إنهاء ملف ريف دمشق كاملاً. وبالتالي فإن باقي مناطق الريف الدمشقي هي أمام مخاض عسير في المدة القادمة.
ولكن، هل يجب الاستسلام لهذا الواقع المرير؟ أعتقد أننا أمام سؤال مصيري، لا يتصل بمصير مناطق الريف الدمشقي فقط، بل بمصير الثورة بشكل كامل. وطبعا لتغيير هذا الواقع المرير أعتقد أننا أيضاً يجب أن نخوض مخاضنا الحقيقي، على أن ينتج تجاوز الفصائلية المقيتة، والتنازل عن المشاريع المنهجية التي لم توصل إلى أي نتيجة. وفي نفس الوقت ضرورة العمل على الانفتاح على الجبهة الجنوبية مهما كان الثمن.
مع إدراكنا أننا أمام صورة ساعة رمل، في كل يوم يقل عدد الحبات فيها؛ أي أن الوقت محدود لإنجاز ذلك، وإلا سيكون مصير باقي مناطق ريف دمشق كمصير داريا والهامة وقدسيا، ومصير الثورة السورية حينها سيكون في نفق مظلم.
