أقبل حزيران معلناً عن بدء موسم حصاد القمح، ومع تطور الأحداث الجارية في سوريا بات القمح إرهابياً في قاموس النظام الأسدي المجرم.
يستمر تحليق الطيران الحربي السوري في الأجواء لمتابعة مهامه في قتل الشعب السوري، من قصف للمناطق السكنية والمدارس والمخابز والأسواق وصولاً إلى استهداف المشافي وكل ما من شأنه أن يساهم في استمرار حياة المواطنين، إلا أن مهام إضافية في شهر حزيران باتت على عاتق سلاح الجو السوري، ألا وهي استهداف الأراضي المزروعة بالقمح.
تكثفت هجمات الطيران الحربي على الأراضي الزراعية بشكل خاص في المناطق المحاصرة، وبإسناد من المدفعيات وكل أنواع الأسلحة المجهزة لأداء هذه المهمة، وقد طال القصف العديد من الأراضي الزراعية في داريا وعدد من مناطق الغوطة الشرقية المحاصرة منذ عام 2012.
تزامنت حملة الهجوم الشرسة على المحاصيل الزراعية مع دخول اتفاق المجموعة الدولية لدعم سوريا حيز التنفيذ في إدخال المساعدات الأممية إلى المناطق المحاصرة، إلا أن حجم المساعدات لم يرتق حتى الآن إلى تغطية كافة احتياجات السكان المحاصرين، لتزداد المعاناة مع فقدان مساحات من الأراضي المزروعة.
تفتقد العديد من المدن والبلدات المحاصرة في ريف دمشق للقمح، وهو أحد أهم الركائز الغذائية في سوريا المشهورة بقمحها، فقد بات مفقودا في العديد من المناطق، وبشكل خاص المناطق المحاصرة التي كانت تعتمد بشكل أساسي على استجرار احتياجاتها من القمح من مناطق جنوب وشمال سوريا، ونتيجة للتطورات في مناطق السيطرة وقطع الطرق والعديد من العوامل، بات الخبز شبه مفقود فيها، مما استدعى لوضع خطط لزراعة القمح وانتظاره أكثر من ستة أشهر، على اعتبار أن القمح من أساسيات الأمن الغذائي.
يسعى المزارعون جاهدين بوسائل بدائية إلى إخماد الحرائق، وتعينهم قوات الدفاع المدني بقدراتها المحدودة آملين إنقاذ ما تبقى من المحاصيل لمجابهة الحرب الفتاكة التي يستخدمها النظام السوري لتركيع وتجويع الثوار.
ووفقا لبيانات نشرتها منظمة الأغذية والزراعة التابعة للأمم المتحدة (فاو) قبل أكثر من شهر، فإن مساحة الأراضي السورية المزروعة بالقمح والشعير لموسم 2015-2016 بلغت نحو 2.16 مليون هكتار بعد أن كانت 3.12 ملايين هكتار في عام 2010.
